10 month monkey and Nightly Walk

We normally go on a nightly walk around the apt. complex when Adam gets home, but we decided to take it to Campion Trails when the sun FINALLY came out after 7 last night
The next two Caden was practicing his hideous monster face. It scares me just thinking about it. If you double click on this first one, you can see his huge top teeth peeking out.

I love silhouettes. Can you tell? They just look so magical to me.

Daddy brought home a new "toy" last night, and Caden spent a good part of his morning pulling out all of the drawers. I've already managed to step on and smash one of the larger drawers. Maybe I should stop blogging and pick up the rest......

Winding down Slappy style

This is how we've been wearing Caden out right before bed. Very effective. ;)

Saving a little blueberry for later

Our friends Katie and Norah came over on Tuesday, and we got to play and catch up. It's always so good to see them!!!

We've been playing on our balcony since the weather's been nice, and Caden LOVES the pile of wood....a rather prickly toy.

And now....NASHVILLE! :) We're here for a week, and Uncle Burtster started right away teaching Caden about firearms and firearm safety.

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day, so we played outside for a while. Caden didn't like the way the grass felt, so the blanket was a perfect playplace. He's playing with Champ...my monkey from when I was little.

Giving Cookie some sweet kisses

More to come!!

Eater Weekend

We started Easter weekend on Saturday in Cleburne to celebrate Miss Landry's birthday!! I tried to get some good pictures of Caden in front of this barnwood, and didn't get many good ones, but this is one of his classic faces. very attractive...i know.

Caden loves Roselyn and Avery. They're such big girls!

The Beefmaster himself. I have to say...those were some tasty hot dogs!!

We asked Roselyn and Avery to show us their tough football faces. This is Roselyn's. VERY intimidating.

Avery's was equally intimidating.

Caden doesn't realize yet that you're supposed to smell flowers and not leaves.

Speed racers

Caden and I went on a little 4 wheeler ride, and he was getting pretty tired, so I let him stay in the backpack for his picture.

Sunday we had a GREAT Easter lunch with friends and (sort of) family. Mrs. Linda brought an Easter basket for Caden, and he put all of his loot in there.

He wasn't quite sure what to think about this Easter egg. It wasn't like the others.

Sunday late afternoon we headed to Rockwall where we had Easter with the Muns side of the family. The weather cleared out and made for a perfect day! Jenna took this one of Caden and me, and I love it.

I couldn't pick one of these. All three kids kept changing and grabbing each other's eggs, and I love the series of pictures.

Caden LOVES dogs...maybe a little too much. He probably should have a little healthier fear of them, but right now, he gravitates toward any dog he sees.

ALMOST the whole family. Kim and Jim, we missed you!!!

And last....Shane's uncles found a lizard and decided it needed to go on top of Caden's head. Shanna could hardly bare to watch.

This and That

Hollee and Sam had a rock star party not long ago, and they needed some bouncers to keep the rif raf out. They turned to the most fearsome duo they could think of. Nobody...and I mean nobody got through without meeting Club Ford's qualifications.

All of the rock stars

I've been putting more stuff in Caden's bed to keep him (hopefully) occupied when he wakes up. This big bear is one of his favorite friends.

He's getting a little more hair!....just a little

He's been going to cradle roll for almost a month now and loves it! It's been kind of hard to get a picture, though, b/c when he sees us, he wants out. We generally drop and run before he has a chance to figure out what's going on.

There's a family that lives above us, and we've been trying to play a little more now that the weather's so nice. Caden is in love. :)

Hollee found a great patch of bluebonnets, and we had a little photo shoot. It was the middle of the day, so the light wasn't great, but the flowers were perfect!

He's got a little green bug on the side of his head here. I think he likes having a friend attached to him.

Looking more and more like a real little boy. :0)

We had a lake work day at the Huston's lake house, and Caden slept or played inside for most of the day while I completely removed all the greenery from anything Myra had me trim. :) Towards the end of the day we went and played outside on the slide, and Caden was quite pleased.
