7 month photo shoot

It'd been a while since I'd had a photo shoot with Caden, so we got out the trusty white sheet, sat in front of the window and went to town. These are some of my favorites.

Blue Steel......

That's right....he can whistle.

Aspen...where the beer flows like wine

That title is a quote from Dumb and Dumber for those of you movie illiterates out there. :) From Nashville, we headed to Aspen to meet Adam's family and spend a week skiing there. It was so much fun to see some SNOW over the Christmas break! Here are Caden and I waiting for Grandmother and Grandaddy to pick us up! :)

This is a bit out of order, but I had some GREAT babysitters that watched Caden so I could sleep. Crystal and Courtney (did I spell that right?) took Caden to downtown Aspen and showed him all the sights. He had so much fun and I'm sure was glad to get out of the house!

Grandmother took a turn feeding Caden! :)

One picture I didn't get that I'm pretty mad about is of Caden with his new best friend Eva! Shanna's mom came with us this year, and she and Caden became fast friends. She helped me so much, and we were all so glad she was there!! She was full of creative toy ideas for Caden!

Adam and I at the end of a ski day. You can see our frozen smiles.

Clark had a musician named Michael Smith come and play for us one night, and he was so good!! Caden was pretty enthralled for a bit, and then he and adam took it to the floor to play before bed.
Michael stayed after his show to jam with the Spencer boys.

The fabulous Shanna!

Here's Kyle after they've finished the major portion of their snow fort. I think he looks like a scorpion here.

I wish I'd gotten a better picture, but those boys stayed outside and tunneled and dug and shaped walls for hours. It was pretty impressive for sure.

Me with my sisters-in-law!

Caden got some great floor time with Grandaddy!

Can't wait for next year!!!!

Christmas Part 1

Okay...I'm catching up big time here. We left on the 19th for Nashville with my family, and we had so much fun! I finally got to meet Madison and Macey (daughers of my cousin Jenny)...born in November, and they were super cute!

My brother Burton had knee surgery, so he was laid up at home, and we LOVED getting to see so much of him. Caden liked to snack on him in between feedings.

Caden also got in some good Slappy time. Dad hadn't seen Caden since September, so he'd changed quite a bit!

My cousins Ben and Andrew came by to wish us a merry Christmas and drop off a present for Caden. We LOVED Ben's costume.

If you dropped by during the holidays, you could normally find us in this room playing cards. I love going home.

We have a tradition every year of going to Kobes with the whole family, and this was the first year we had to split up into two rooms. Here's Caden with my cousin Austin.

Caden's first Kobe's!!

This is my cousin Elizabeth's daughter, Emery. She was so much fun to watch and play with!

This is my cousin Bryan's daugher Tori. He and Natalie are expecting their second (a boy!!) in March!

Tori, Emery, and Merrill playing a little tune!

Anyone for some fine chocolates?

Santa Clause came to visit at my grandma's house and Caden and he became fast friends. Here Caden is whispering what he wanted for Christmas.
